The wild strawberries (Fragaria vesca, Coville) are a delicious, fragrant, colorful dish that can be enjoyed in small doses. It has nothing to do with strawberries and strawberries we see in the market. The Wild are clearly smaller in size.

Its flowers are composed of five petals whites and five sepals and although we call it fruit, the strawberry is actually a thickening of the floral receptacle called Eterio whose mission is to contain the real fruit, these calls micropepitas achenes (dry fruits).

Those who are in the garden, came out spontaneously. I have a tendency to let it develop grasses that come up, this has caused some years we thought beautiful spots with tiny multicolored bushes real limp. I know that this way of understanding the garden goes against any concept professional landscaper, but curiosity I can! and need to know what are those little sprouts that usually appear.

Like everything in the garden, share with other animal species and many times, the juicier strawberries and its point of maturity, have a surprise from behind, showing that it really was a good example.

The fact is that these tiny berries are very rich, with a pinpoint acid. In one of his visits, Luigi took several seedlings that grew dramatically in his home in Madrid.

An extremely rainy years wiped out any vestige of strawberries. What we did was take two seedlings of the great clumps of my friend, which again origin.

These have been developed very well and have for several years to bear fruit. The secret is that they pass some years plants are depleted and new individuals are to be planted elsewhere. That and I control it now, so I have little seedlings always waiting to place them in different places.

Although where is the beauty of surprise and the unexpected and spontaneous to remove the careful planning!
